Open science

The University of Angers is strongly involved in fostering Open Access and more generally Open Science among its scientific community.

Being a pioneer, University of Angers is the first institution to adopt, in 2013, a mandatory deposit policy of journal articles on an open repository. Since 2019, UA supports its researchers in depositing their publications on its open repository (HAL | UA), to make them accessible online to everyone.

Finally, UA is committed to assist the scientific community in the drafting of Data Management Plans, and to promote the most popular, open and permanent researcher identifier ORCID.
