From 2 to 6 May 2022, Polytech Angers is organising the International Week, during which we wish to strengthen links with our international partners by inviting them to come and give lectures, participate in forums, etc.
Objectives :
- Reflect with other engineering educators on how we have changed and reconsidered our teaching and organizational practices.
- Exchange insights on skills and knowledge needed for today and tomorrow.
- Share your teaching expertise with University of Angers engineering undergraduates.
- Promote Erasmus+ exchange possibilities.
- Enjoy a stimulating break in a vibrant student town, which has consistently been voted one of the best places to live in France.

Pick up information pack and meet other participants.

14:30 - Workshop: Stop and Reflect
Polytech Health Campus Building Project Room
The past two years have been a constant rush of events, crises and adaptation.
After constant change comes a desire to pause and reflect. As engineering educators, our jobs are to help future engineers adapt to our constantly changing world. This informal workshop will explore how to embrace change while facing hard choices, balance both urgency and the need for observation and consideration.

18:00 - Multi-Lingual Guided Walking Tour (Optional)
Departs from Polytech Health Campus Building Lobby
Easy town walking tour including practical information about getting around town, local points of interest and fun facts about Angers.

9:00 – 12:00 - Erasmus Teaching Session 1
Partners on an Erasmus Teaching mobility teach second-year general Engineering students. (See ‘Your participation’ below).
12:30 - Group lunch
Meet at Polytech Belle Beille Campus Building lobby.
14:00 – 16:00 - Student Presentations
Polytech Belle Beille Campus Building
Public speaking a key skill for future engineers. Participants are paired with a Polytech Angers faculty member to evaluate student presentations. Evaluation criteria provided.
Evening - Dinner with a Host Family (Optional)
Enjoy local hospitality with a French family and discover how the French really live. Volunteer hosts from the school will welcome International guests for a home-cooked meal.
Wednesday May 4
9:00 – 11:00 - Student Led Discussion Sessions
Polytech Belle Beille Campus Building
Peer to peer discussions are a useful way to actively engage in collaborative learning and gain insight into professional and life issues. In small groups, participants and staff members come together for an honest and respectful dialogue around current issues. Your perspective as a visitor is valuable for our students.
11:30 – 12:30 - International Study Fair
Polytech Belle Beille Campus Building
An informal ‘meet-and-greet’ session to answer student questions about study abroad opportunities at your university. Participants will be given a table for marketing materials.
Please bring any university marketing materials you would like to distribute.
Afternoon - FREE
