Shared XmasInternational students experience local family traditions

The University of Angers welcomes many international students each year who come to pursue an academic programme and discover French culture.

Among these international students, some don't have the opportunity to see their families for many months.

This is why, since 2019, the University's International Office offers its international students the opportunity to experience one of the most emblematic French family holidays through the "Shared Xmas" event.

For the holidays, the International Office pairs international students with the families of the University’s teaching and administrative staff, allowing them to share a Christmas meal on either December 24 or 25.

Each year, feedback from students and staff highlights how these moments are unique opportunities for mutual discovery and exchange. They are delighted by the warmth and richness of these shared experiences.

The International Office is already working on organizing this year's edition and hopes to create yet another event filled with discovery and conviviality.
